Mad Lady’s Playlist: New York

I recently had the very first lone adventure of my life: travelling halfway across the world, to New York, nonetheless, and all by myself! Here’s a rough playlist I can’t get out of my mind when I think of New York. I don’t care if you like it or hate it, at least try to enjoy it!

I listened to these tracks the whole plane journey to and from New York, so needless to say, every single time I listen to them, I find myself back on the plane, lost in another world.

She Looks So Perfect

5 Seconds of Summer

Singin’ in the Rain

Gene Kelly

Note: I watched this movie on the plane, and I was smiling at every single scene of Gene Kelly’s. He’s a fine, fine man!

Story of My Life

One Direction

Once in New York, I ended up with two spunky roommates. We were the same age, from different parts of the world, and loved music, so whether we were getting dressed or ready for bed, music (and some dancing) was a constant.

Black Widow

Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora

Single Ladies

Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce

Once back home, I can’t seem to get New York out of my mind… so here’s a bunch of songs about New York that I like. Don’t hate, don’t judge. Just dream.

Empire State of Mind

Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys

New York, New York

Frank Sinatra

Welcome to New York

Taylor Swift

One last song I can’t get out my head. I met someone intriguing in New York, and reminiscing about him is incomplete without Broadway’s “Les Misérables”!

Do You Hear the People Sing?

Cast of Les Misérables
